Rather than applying a single framework to every project, we combine perspectives across policy, communications, environmental systems, finance, and implementation to understand the full picture before building solutions.

Our work is grounded in the belief that long-term environmental progress must also support commercial sustainability, social equity, local livelihoods, and institutional realities.

Fred Puckle Hobbs

Co-Founder and Board Chair

Fred works across sustainable finance, strategy, and institutional engagement, with a focus on helping mission-driven organisations translate complex ideas into credible, investable models. His work spans food systems, the blue economy, and natural capital, supporting projects and enterprises from early-stage strategy through to investment readiness and partnership development.

Fred is also Operations Manager with the Blue Bond Accelerator, where he supports operational systems, issuer engagement, and coordination across blue finance initiatives. Prior to Tathva, he worked across ocean finance, venture development, and strategic advisory in Southeast Asia, including leadership roles in seaweed, fisheries, and nature-positive business models.

Shreya Mallabadi

Co-Founder

Shreya bridges the gap between science, policy, and community action, turning complex environmental challenges into clear, compelling narratives that drive partnerships and on-the-ground implementation. Her work includes seaweed farming in Indonesia and communications strategy for sustainability initiatives across Asia-Pacific.

A Master of Public Policy graduate from the National University of Singapore, Shreya was named an Earthshot Prize Asia Pacific Young Leader in 2025. Her graduate work on urban food security and indigenous land rights in Indonesia earned recognition through the UN FAO Global Development Public Policy Youth Innovation Contest and the WyWy Gold Medal from NUS.

Chris Justice

Managing Director

Chris works at the intersection of agriculture, climate solutions, and capital markets, with a focus on developing high-impact projects from early-stage concept through to investment readiness. His work spans climate-smart agriculture, aquaculture, ecosystem restoration, and environmental markets, combining technical project development with financial structuring and MRV systems.

Prior to Tathva, Chris held senior leadership roles in asset management across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, bringing deep experience in investment strategy, business development, and blended finance. He has also been an entrepreneur and co-founded businesses across Asia. His approach is shaped by a strong understanding of how commercial finance, environmental outcomes, and scalable implementation can be aligned with entrepreneurial initiative to unlock long-term impact.

Ewan Puckle Hobbs

Director

Ewan brings deep experience in business transformation, operating model design, and organisational change, with a particular strength in diagnosing how organisations really work beneath their formal strategies.

Ewan spent three decades advising financial institutions and other complex organisations, ending his consulting career in IBM's global banking advisory team before joining Standard Chartered Bank. At Tathva, he brings a grounded operational lens to strategy, governance, delivery design, and the systems needed to help impact-led businesses grow in ways that are resilient, measurable, and practical.

Ryan Bjorkquist

Strategic Partner, Birch Group Consulting

Ryan Bjorkquist is a climate finance and environmental risk specialist with 17 years of experience in institutional banking, including senior roles at Standard Chartered and MUFG. He founded Birch Group Consulting to bridge development finance capital and nature-positive outcomes across Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and Latin America. He advises Tathva on the Tonlé Sap Restoration and Landscape Initiative, bringing expertise in carbon pricing strategy, financial modelling, and investor-facing structuring.

Dragos Mircea

Strategic Partner

Dragos is an aquaculture entrepreneur. Driven by a passion for sustainable protein, he moved to Vietnam in 2023, where he immersed himself in the shrimp universe — engaging with dozens of producers, input suppliers, and experts across SE Asia to understand the real issues facing this sector. He decided to focus on solving two of them: (1) the huge risk associated with shrimp farming; (2) the excessive use of antibiotics.

Dragos is the founder of Good Tôm (Good Shrimp), a venture-backed, precision aquaculture start-up based in the Mekong Delta.
